Big Day for Ping: Swats 5 Hits Friday, June 24th , 2050 Wei-fang Ping was at the head of a MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves hit parade today at MSL Cleveland Ballpark. The 16-year-old went to the plate 8 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the MSL Cleveland Browns that marched off with the 7-5 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Grey Wolves skipper Justin Justice following the game. "Wei-fang did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Ping did more than fine, dominating the Browns at the plate during his record-making 5-for-8 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging center fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Wei-fang Ping hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, struck out in the 9th, flied out in the 12th, singled in the 14th, singled in the 16th and walked in the 18th.
