#1 Skipper in PMSL: López of MSL San Mateo Friday, September 16th , 2050 Manager José López was speaking before a MSL San Mateo fan luncheon when word came down that he'd been awarded the USPL Mexican Summer League Manager of the Year. López's face turned to surprise as the club's owner made the hasty announcement. "Wow... how lucky can a guy be? Manage a great bunch of guys... have great fans... have a great season... and now this... life don't get any better than this." MSL San Mateo fans applauded, recognizing how fortunate they were to have López at the helm. Both fans and players in attendance toasted their skipper as they truly enjoyed the day. 2050 was an extra-special season for López as he piloted the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds to a 29-19 record and a first place spot in the PL MSL standings. A record good enough to win the 2050 Manager of the Year Award. |
