James Wins Award for PMSL Dominance Wednesday, September 14th , 2050 Florian James was a calming influence out of the MSL Athletic Club KC U-18 bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 19-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the USPL Mexican Summer League Reliever of the Year Award for 2050. The Remire-Montjoly, French Guiana native won the award with 6 saves in 20 relief appearances, 34 strikeouts in 35 innings and a record of 3-1 to go with his 1.03 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Gerben Groothuijzen of the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathin finished second in voting, while Jorge Castillo of the MSL Hollywood Shredders finished third.
