Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for García Friday, September 3rd , 2049 Anastasio García, right fielder for the MSL Mississippi Mockingbirds, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 13-4 victory today over the MSL Hollywood Shredders at MSL Mississippi Ballpark today. "Not the outcome we wanted," MSL Hollywood manager Andrés Pérez said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Anastasio García was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a sac fly in the 6th and was hit by a pitch in the 8th. To date García has chalked up a .413 average with 1 home run, driven in 61 runs and scored 49 times. |
