Taylor Sizzles -- Smokes 84s for 6 Hits Monday, August 23rd , 2049 Even as a kid, Herman Taylor said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At MSL Greenville Ballpark today, Taylor showed how well he learned that lesson. The 18-year-old left fielder had 6 hits in 7 at-bats for the MSL Mississippi Mockingbirds, helping his team knock off the MSL Greenville 84s by a score of 23-6. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Herman Taylor hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
