The future looks extremely bright for Zhang Kan. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in M3L Low A.

Kan has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the M3L Low A Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .329 this year, that's for sure," the third baseman said.

The Ladue Rams star also put up a .393 on-base percentage this year, with 96 hits, 15 doubles, 1 triple, 23 home runs, 61 RBIs and 58 runs scored.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 12. Lance Price of the Watford City Trash Pandas finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Dan Love of the Long Island Ducks finished third with 1 first place vote.
