Trembath Belts 3 HRs Friday, September 9th , 2050 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Shady Side Zoomies today. Fort Knox right fielder Mark Trembath tripled up on the home runs to propel the Centennial to the 7-1 win at Ballpark of Baxter. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Shady Side manager John Aston said. "Trembath hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Trembath collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Mark Trembath hit a solo-shot off Jorge MartÃnez in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jorge MartÃnez in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jake Baird in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th. For the season Trembath has produced 111 hits in 400 at-bats for a .278 average with 24 home runs and gotten on base at a .369 clip. |
