Escues and Lewis Brawl, League Suspends Them Monday, August 8th , 2050 If there wasn't a history between Jorge Escues of Bompton and Irving Lewis of Bethlehem, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Escues said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Escues is hitting .236 in 2050 with 34 RBIs and 7 home runs. To date this season, Lewis has registered 11 starts, 6-2 won-lost mark, 3.38 ERA, 69.1 IP, 68 strikeouts and 29 walks. Opposing teams have hit .242 against him. |
