Blakemore Big Deal in North Ft. Myers: Hits for Cycle Sunday, August 7th , 2050 Edward Blakemore of the North Ft. Myers Gators had an amazing day at the plate today in a game against the Ogallala Octopi. The North Ft. Myers left fielder hit for the cycle as the Gators downed the Octopi 11-8. "I would love to say it was all skill, but I have to admit it was some luck, too," Blakemore said. "Everything went where it needed to go." Blakemore finished the day with 4 hits in 5 tries and raised his batting average a few points. He also had 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Edward Blakemore grounded out in the 1st, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Keneki Orana in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
