Belcher Bashes 3 HR for Shady Side Saturday, June 25th , 2050 Shady Side Zoomies left fielder Theo Belcher had a magnificent game against the Germantown Uruguayans today, rocketing three balls out of Terriers Ballpark to help the Zoomies take the 15-6 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Belcher went 4-for-5 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Shady Side manager John Aston said later. "Seems like Theo found his home run stroke today." Theo Belcher hit a solo-shot off Joey van der Beeck in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Joey van der Beeck in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ramiro Palácino in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. In 2050 Belcher has hit at a .317 clip with 44 hits, 16 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 28 times. |
