Merrow and Turner Fight, Get Suspended Friday, June 24th , 2050 Phil Merrow of the Shady Side Zoomies and Gabe Turner of the Germantown Uruguayans will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Zoomies-Uruguayans game at Terriers Ballpark. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Merrow and Turner will begin serving them soon. Merrow is hitting .287 this season with 8 home runs, 19 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 94 at-bats. This season Turner has compiled a 0-7 record with a 11.02 ERA in 9 starts. |
