His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 19-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the USPL Low A Reliever of the Year Award for 2050.
The Chiba, Japan native won the award with 4 saves in 39 relief appearances, 76 strikeouts in 53.1 innings and a record of 8-0 to go with his 1.01 ERA.
