Super Swinger -- Robinson Slams 5 Hits
Thursday, July 14th , 2050
Quebec City Baby Blues shortstop John Robinson had a day to remember at Dylan Park today, ripping apart the Greenport Harbor Whales and sparking the Baby Blues to a 9-6 victory.
Robinson wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Robinson told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
John Robinson hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
Robinson is presently batting .291 with 8 home runs, 31 runs scored and 30 RBIs. His OBP is .342.
