USPL Double A Announces Best Starter Saturday, October 1st , 2050 A standout performance in September earned Miguel Martínez the Pitcher of the Month Award in the USPL Double A. When his name was penciled in to start by the Athletic Club KC Academy skipper, it meant trouble for opposing teams. For the month the Athletic Club KC Academy star racked up 2 wins and no losses. In 18.2 innings of work, Martínez limited opposing batters to 9 base hits and a .141 batting average. He notched 16 strikeouts, issued 4 walks and had a 0.96 ERA.
