Voorneveld's Season Could be Over Sunday, September 18th , 2050 The season is finished for Charles Voorneveld of the Squirrel Hill Pierogis. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Pierogis reliever suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Bethesda Atoms. Team doctors said it would take at least 13 months to heal. Taking a look at his season stats for 2050, Voorneveld has made 14 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 2-3 won-lost mark with a 6.38 ERA. In pitching 36.2 innings, he has totaled 34 strikeouts and 19 walks. |
