League Suspends King and Cole for Brawl Wednesday, August 3rd , 2050 After an intense confrontation, both the Pilgrims Brody King and the Atoms Bill Cole were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Providence-Bethesda game. Brody King will miss 5 games, while Bill Cole was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Brody King commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." King is batting .281 this season in 67 games with 7 home runs, 31 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 66 hits in 235 at-bats. This year Cole has worked 35.1 innings with 14 strikeouts en route to a 0-5 record and a 7.39 ERA. |
