Dolphins Get No Resistance from Love Boats in 10-0 Beat-Down Monday, July 18th , 2050 There was no spell, no black magic -- just good pitching. Luke Robb of the Pine Island Dolphins blanked the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 10-0, at Heron Field today, and he did it the old-fashioned way. After finishing the 1-hit, complete-game shutout, he was all smiles. "I threw a lot of my pitches for strikes in this game," Robb said. "I mixed it up and tried keeping these guys off balance." Robb walked 2 and struck out 7 in the victory. "He was throwing his breaking ball for strikes and we never capitalized on any of his mistakes," Love Boats manager Doug Green said later. So far this season, Robb has logged a 8-2 record with a 2.72 ERA. He has started 13 games, hurled 82.2 innings and registered 59 strikeouts and 34 walks. View Boxscore View Game Log |
