2050 3AAA #1 Star is Sunset District's Johnson
Sunday, October 9th , 2050
At the age of 24, Gregory Johnson of the Sunset District Fog could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2050 was good enough to win the right fielder the M3L Triple A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .291 batting average this year, as well as a .371 on-base percentage. He played 88 games and racked up 97 hits, 28 doubles, 2 triples, 23 home runs, 76 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 12. Colm Lithgoe of the Port Huron Blitzkrieg finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Jaicus Saracho of the Hamilton Thunderbirds finished third.
