Ellenburg Wins 2050 3L AAA Championship! Saturday, September 24th , 2050 The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Hamilton Thunderbirds 7-2 to win the 3L AAA Championship. Ellenburg won the series 2-1, capturing the title for the 3rd time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Ellenburg manager Justin Broadfoot. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 60-42 and claimed second place in the Menard's AAA. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and first baseman Neal Lewis said the Fighting Dachshunds have "great fans and they deserve this."
