McCooke's Hit Streak Soars to 25 Games Saturday, September 3rd , 2050 Win or lose, Todd McCooke just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 3 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 25 games. The Milton Dogfish Head second baseman went 3-for-4 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 4-1 by the Nolensville Knights at Nolensville Park. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Todd McCooke flied out in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. To date this season McCooke is hitting .309 with 3 home runs. |
