League Gives Beguer and Lewis 2-Game Suspensions Saturday, July 30th , 2050 Both benches got involved in a rowdy fracas during the Plymouth-Port Huron game at Plymouth Quarry. The two main culprits have been suspended by the league. The Rocks Jorge Beguer and the Blitzkrieg Joel Lewis were each issued 2-game suspensions for their unsportsmanlike behavior and aggressive actions. So far this season Beguer is batting .235 with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 16 hits in 68 at-bats, 12 walks and a .366 OBP. Beguer has played in 20 games. In 6 starts this year Lewis has posted 2 wins while suffering 3 losses. He has pitched 44.2 innings, allowed 41 hits, struck out 47 and has a 4.84 ERA. |
