3L's Premier Batter Picked Thursday, September 1st , 2050 To survive in the bigs, you've got to be a scrapper like Meester Gobbles-Rooster. It never pays to take a day off from the batting cages or to shrug off the advice of the hitting coach. It all paid off today as Toledo's third baseman pinned down the Menard's Third League Batter of the Month trophy today. He hit .312 in August collecting 8 home runs, 18 RBIs and 19 runs scored. So far this season Gobbles-Rooster is hitting .289 with 23 home runs, 63 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He has 94 hits in 325 at-bats and a .318 OBP. |
