League Suspends Coeur Rose 4 Games Thursday, July 14th , 2050 Drew Rose was suspended by the league for 4 games for "inappropriate conduct on the field," stemming from an altercation during a game with the Montana Pandas yesterday at Panda Park. The St. Louis shortstop refused to leave the field for several minutes after being ejected by the home plate umpire over a third-strike call. His manager finally convinced him to leave the field, but had to step between him and the umpire several times. Coeur officials told the press Rose was not available for comment after the game. This year Rose is hitting at a .216 pace with 6 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 54 games and scored 23 times. |
