SL #1 Newcomer Named Monday, October 31st , 2050 He was just a rookie, but when Imbart Theunen got his chance in the Long Island starting rotation, he quickly made his presence known and chalked up an enviable record. He ended his debut season with a 5-5 mark and a 3.21 ERA in 21 starts, tossed 98 innings, fanned 87 and held opposing teams to a .281 average. For his efforts, Theunen got the United States Silver League Newcomer of the Year Award this year. Kevin Brown of the Baltimore Bullets finished second in voting, while Keith Atkins of the Baltimore Bullets finished third. |
