SL Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Monday, October 31st , 2050 The Boston Patriots got more than they expected out of Jorge Gil in 2050. At the age of 34, there were questions about whether or not Gil could still compete at a high level, but those questions were answered emphatically as he has won the United States Silver League Reliever of the Year Award. On the season, the San Pedro Sula, Honduras native recorded 5 saves in 41 relief appearances and threw 77 innings. He recorded 100 strikeouts and 16 walks, while posting an opponent's batting average of .164. Terry Lesage of the Vancouver Grey Wolves finished second in voting, while Don Williams of the Las Vegas Flamingos finished third. |
