Philip Todd discovered that today at Wolf Den in Vancouver, as he smashed three home runs during the 12-0 Pittsburgh Kingfishers win over the Vancouver Grey Wolves. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Pittsburgh left fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Todd finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 5 RBIs. Philip Todd hit a solo-shot off Juan Rayo in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Juan Rayo in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Andy Harvey in the 6th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far this year in 36 games Todd is hitting .256 with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
