Cortéz and Harvey Suspended, Out 4 Games Tuesday, August 30th , 2050 Pittsburgh and Vancouver team officials have been notified by the league office that the Kingfishers Jesús Cortéz and the Grey Wolves Andy Harvey will be suspended 4 games each for their altercation in yesterday's game at Pittsburgh Grounds. They were the two main combatants in the bench-clearing brawl. This year Cortéz is batting .183 with 31 hits, 6 home runs, 10 RBIs, 11 walks, .258 OBP and has scored 19 runs. This season Harvey has chalked up 3 saves, notched a 1-0 record with a 2.45 ERA, allowed 26 hits in his 36.2 innings of work, struck out 31 and walked 11. Opponents are hitting .197 against the Vancouver hurler. |
