PA Announces Best Player Award Friday, September 23rd , 2050 Ahti Riikonen took USPL Single A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 24. For his spectacular campaign, the Huntington Hermit Crabs star has been named the 2050 USPL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman. On the season he compiled a .301 batting average to go with a .397 on-base percentage. The native of Jämsä, Finland also added 23 doubles, no triples, 23 home runs, 61 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10. Les Lumsden of the Athletic Club KC U-24 finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Iván Marrero of the Huntington Hermit Crabs finished third.
