On a Roll: García Hits for Cycle Thursday, October 6th , 2050 The Oakland Oaks topped the Greenville 84s by a score of 9-6 at 84s Field today but all the talk was on left fielder Lorenzo García. The Oakland star hit for the cycle in a show-stealing performance, powering his club to the win. García went 4-for-5, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to go along with 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. "I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," García said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me - the ball seemed that big. And it just floated in." Lorenzo García struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Sixto Bustamante in the 9th. This year García has collected a .330 batting average to date with 90 hits in 273 at-bats, 41 RBIs, 9 home runs and scored 51 times. He has played in 77 games.
