Wilkerson's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback
Tuesday, September 27th , 2050
The Nova Scotia Leviathan announced today that John Wilkerson would be missing for longer than expected as the 31-year-old left fielder recovers from a strained hip flexor. "John had been working out with the team recently, but felt some discomfort yesterday," the Leviathan GM explained to the press. "After re-examining the injury, the team's medical staff decided that Wilkerson would need extra time to heal. Their estimate is 5 days more recovery time."
For the season, Wilkerson is hitting at a .221 clip with 8 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 41 runs. He has 62 hits, 49 walks and a .343 on-base percentage.
