Hits Blitz for Shredders White Thursday, September 22nd , 2050 Getting 4 hits in a game is no easy feat, but doing it to hit for the cycle is even more rare. Jake White of the Hollywood Shredders pulled it off today at The Hollywood Bowl, going 4-for-4 against the Nova Scotia Leviathan. His batting escapades sparked the Shredders to a 4-0 victory. White tallied 1 run and drove in 3 during the game. Hitting for the cycle is particularly rare because of the different skills required - enough power for a home run, enough speed for a triple and enough patience at the plate to see at least four hittable balls. "It just happened," White said to reporters after the win. "Must have been fate or something, I wasn't expecting it. Heck, I wasn't even really trying for it." Jake White doubled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Mochihito Sato in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
