The Boston Patriots did just enough to sneak past the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 6-5, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Boston pitcher Ronald Fritz, in particular, had a standout performance. The Kingfishers, at 43-37, have lost 4 straight games.

Salvador Ortega was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Patriots catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Fritz said.
