Las Vegas Flamingos starter Nelson McNeil had all his pitches working at The Strip. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Las Vegas win over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. McNeil went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 4-8. Las Vegas now sits in 5th place in the Silver League at 40-40.

Julián Sorondo hit a run-scoring double off Glenn Suggett in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Flamingos in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Sorondo had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.
