Oakland Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
|
The Oakland Oaks have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Buffalo White Walkers, winning 4-3 at The Oak Grove today. Oaks right-hander Kjeld Burger threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Oaks to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Tournament of Champions.
With two out in the bottom of the first, Sung-jae Hong barreled up a fastball from Bhagavan Antle. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Oaks in front, 2-1.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Oakland manager DAshley GoAs.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Oak Grove in Oakland.
