Lau Blasts Oaks, Mockingbirds Take Game 4, 9-4
With center fielder Ai-de Lau leading the charge, the Mississippi Mockingbirds got a road win over the Oakland Oaks, 9-4, in Game 4 of the ToC First Round today. Lau went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 at The Oak Grove to help Mississippi force a 2-2 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Mississippi used the bat of John Richardson to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mockingbirds ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

Richardson called the triumph "a good team win."

Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday at Magnolia Park in Jackson.
