Hurricanes Beat Flamingos, 6-4
|
The Cape Coral Hurricanes dealt the Las Vegas Flamingos a 6-4 loss at Factory of Sadness. Elliot Reid was the star on offense. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. In 6.2 innings, Reid surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Chris Logan earned the save for Cape Coral, his 10th.
Lung Chaim had a big hit for Cape Coral in the bottom of the second inning. With Cape Coral leading 1-0, Chaim hit a 2-run double. It was his 24th double of the season and put the Hurricanes up, 3-0.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Chaim said in reaction to the win.
The win puts the Hurricanes at 37-40, while the Flamingos drop to 39-38.
