It was a glorious moment for Krewe fans today as Crescent City claimed the 2050 PL AA Championship title with a 10-7 victory at Field of the Krewe.

Jubilant Crescent City players swamped each other on the diamond after completing a dominant sweep of the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, as chants of "Thank you, Krewe" reverberated all around the ballpark.

In the losing dugout, sadness reigned. Guinea Pigs skipper William Edens told reporters it was "hard to describe" the feeling of losing in the PL AA Championship.

"Your heart is heavy, you are hurting -- it's a very difficult time," he said. "And to be swept is embarrassing. You just want to forget it ever happened."

For the Crescent City Krewe, it was a season to remember. They finished the regular season with a record of 72-30, good enough for first place in the Premier AA. Then they topped it off by winning the PL AA Championship 2-0.
