Home Field Advantage: Huang, Crescent City Open PL AA Championship with Win
The Crescent City Krewe powered past the visiting Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 8-3, in the opener of the PL AA Championship at Field of the Krewe today. Crescent City right fielder Wu-ti Huang went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4, to lead the charge. The Krewe now lead the series 1-0.

Huang came through for Crescent City with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third. He hit a 0-1 fastball to left field, staking his team to a 4-1 lead.

"Best-of-3 series are brutal," Gwinnett manager William Edens said. "You can get into trouble so fast. We can't afford any mistakes now."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Field of the Krewe in Kenner.
