Dolphins Hammered by Lake, Drop Game 2 to Screaming Eagles
Mercer Island catcher Jon Lake was the difference-maker for the Screaming Eagles in what turned into a shootout with the Pine Island Dolphins. Lake earned accolades after going 3-for-4 in the 7-1 Screaming Eagles win. With the victory, the Screaming Eagles moved into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.

Seppo Kimmonen dealt the Dolphins a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Mercer Island leading 1-0, Kimmonen hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Kimmonen. "And not try to do too much."

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 24th , 2050 at Goodyear Hanger Dome in Pine Island Center.
