Billy Goats Edge Patriots 3-2 to Open R1

The Colorado Billy Goats faced a tough opponent in Boston Patriots pitcher Luis Rosário, but did just enough to pull out a win in Game 1 of the ToC First Round, which they now lead 1-0. The Billy Goats won 3-2 at Grazing Hills, despite the Patriots getting a strong start from left-hander Rosário, who went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run.
Colorado took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Mhelter Tejano hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Billy Goats fans to their feet.
"Things broke our way today and that's great," Billy Goats manager Mack Kilkeary said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Grazing Hills in Denver.
