Rocketeers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Long Island, 2-0
In a low-scoring affair between the Seattle Rocketeers and the Long Island Lighthouse, pitcher Virgil Dickerson was the difference between victory and defeat. The Seattle left-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 Rocketeers win. The win was credited to Billy Richardson in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Miguel Rodríguez took the loss. Juan Concepción recorded his 6th save for Seattle.

Seattle used a timely hit from Felipe Amechazurra to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito.

The Lighthouse have now dropped 7 straight.
