Ortíz Shines in 9-5 MSL Seattle Win
|
The 9-5 MSL Seattle win over MSL Baltimore was due in large part to Juan Ortíz. The Rocketeers left fielder belted 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. The 7th-place Rocketeers are now 20-28, the Bullets 32-16.
Had Pascal Laporte not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Laporte hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Rocketeers.
"We take it day by day here," said Ortíz, "and today was a good one for us."
