Lakers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The MSL Echo Park Lakers defeated the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves, 3-2, in USSL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Echo Park Ballpark. MSL Echo Park pitcher Kerry Lewis had a standout performance. The win was credited to Sung-tae Kim in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Vincente Pérez took the loss. The Lakers saw their record improve to 30-18.
Shu-yen Fu clinched the win with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the tenth. In the game, the MSL Echo Park third baseman was 1 for 4 with a walk.
"We had a chance to win," said MSL Vancouver manager Justin Justice, "but we didn't get it done."
