The MSL Boston Patriots did just enough to secure a victory over the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 3-2, at MSL Boston Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Lloyd Best. MSL Boston occupies first place in the SL MSL at 33-9.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Patriots sent 17-year-old left fielder Orlando Rodríguez to the plate with runners on 1st and 3rd. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a sacrifice fly, to put MSL Boston on top, 3-2.

"Lloyd was able to execute his pitches," said MSL Boston manager David Henderson. "Simple as that."
