The MSL Echo Park Lakers racked up a win at MSL Pittsburgh Ballpark, bumping off the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 7-4. Kerry Lewis, who started for MSL Echo Park, pitched effectively for his team. Lewis went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 13. His record improves to 3-1. The Lakers' win now puts them at 25-17.
In the top of the fifth inning, right fielder Fernando Rivera delivered a key hit for the Lakers. With MSL Echo Park trailing 4-0, he ripped a 3-run home run.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Rivera.
