Rocketeers Snag 2-1 Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the MSL Seattle Rocketeers and the MSL Cleveland Browns, pitcher Kantaro Suzuki was fantastic. The MSL Seattle right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Victor Doubleday earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. The Rocketeers now have a record of 17-25.
Runs were hard to come by in this one. Armando Pérez's at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth, therefore, was critical. The MSL Seattle first baseman hit a sacrifice fly, to put his team on top, 2-1.
"This was a tough loss," said MSL Cleveland manager Craig Sunter. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
