Stevens Brings A-Game, Grey Wolves Beat Rocketeers
|
The MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves and MSL Seattle Rocketeers put on a pitchers' duel.
The MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves got a magnificent effort from pitcher Steve Stevens, who kept MSL Seattle hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Grey Wolves win at MSL Seattle Ballpark. The save went to Bill Anderson, his 2nd this season.
The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old Stevens. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Grey Wolves. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Rocketeers, striking out 5 and scattering 3 hits over 7 innings. Stevens is now 2-2 on the season.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Stevens said.
The 4th-place Grey Wolves improved to 18-15.
