Knights Deal Battery 9-2 Defeat
|
The MSL Kingston Township Knights topped the MSL Charleston Battery, 9-2, at MSL Charleston Ballpark. MSL Kingston Township right fielder Sergio Esparza banged out 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. MSL Kingston Township reliever Jorge Núñez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Joel Hatch was saddled with the loss. At 15-22, the Knights claim 10th place in the 3L MSL.
Jorge Ramírez was 1 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for MSL Kingston Township. The 17-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Joel Hatch. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Stephen Richards.
