MSL Pittsburgh and MSL Cleveland played a hard-fought contest.
The MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers racked up a win at MSL Cleveland Ballpark, bumping off the MSL Cleveland Browns, 3-2. Will Ashley, who started for MSL Pittsburgh, pitched effectively for his team. The 5th-place Browns have lost 4 consecutive games.
MSL Pittsburgh left fielder Álex Torres produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the ninth with Gonzalo Vargos on the mound and MSL Pittsburgh leading 2-1. Torres hit a sacrifice fly.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Torres told the MSL Pittsburgh Daily. "But we take nothing for granted."
