A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos and MSL Long Island Lighthouse.
The MSL Las Vegas Flamingos picked up a win at MSL Las Vegas Ballpark, knocking off the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 6-1. On the mound for MSL Las Vegas was right-hander Marcos Carrillo, who played a pivotal role in the win. Carrillo picked up the win for MSL Las Vegas, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1.
William Richards's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was significant for the Flamingos. Coming to the plate with runners on 1st and 3rd and MSL Las Vegas trailing 1-0, the Flamingos third baseman grounded out, driving in 1 run.
"Nice to get this one," said Carrillo. "Wins have been hard to come by."
The Flamingos raised their record to 3-7.
